The Šanon app is a family-grade encrypted document vault operated by Samec Digital s.r.o., Company ID 29547539, with registered office at Na Břehu 378, 387 11 Katovice, Czech Republic. The deployment model is BYO-iCloud — all your data stays in your iCloud, on your device and with the AI provider you choose yourself. The operator has no backend and does not store any of your data on its own servers.
1. What Šanon stores and where

Neither the operator nor any third party has access to any of the above. Šanon has no server of its own, sends nothing to analytics, includes no crash reporting and no tracking SDKs.
2. AI providers (optional)
If you choose a provider under Settings → AI Provider, Šanon sends only the recognized document text (OCR output or PDF text), the file name and the MIME type. The original file is never sent.
- Claude (Anthropic) — the text goes to
api.anthropic.com. Anthropic does not use API-received data to train models. More: anthropic.com/legal/privacy - OpenAI — the text goes to
api.openai.com. OpenAI API: data is not used to train models by default. More: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy - Apple Intelligence — models run fully on your device. No communication with Apple servers.
- Ollama (local) — connection to your local server. Data never leaves your network.
- None — AI auto-extraction is off; you set the category and metadata manually.
BYOK provider API keys are stored locally on the device
(Keychain kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly with no iCloud sync).
The operator has no access to them.
3. What Šanon does NOT do
- No analytics (Firebase, Mixpanel, Plausible, etc.)
- No third-party crash reporting
- No ads or ad-network integrations
- No tracking identifiers for the device or the user
- No sharing of data with third parties
4. Your rights (GDPR)
- Access — all your documents live on your device and in your iCloud. You have full access.
- Erasure — Settings → App → Delete all data (wipes onboarding + database). Full removal: uninstall the app.
- Portability — every document can be exported via system sharing (a decrypted copy).
- Objection — the operator does not store any data on its own servers. For Apple / Anthropic / OpenAI, see their privacy policies.

5. Children
Šanon lets parents store documents related to their children (vaccinations, school, IDs). The app does not keep any data of children directly. Children under 16 do not have their own account.
6. Policy changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be shown on the next app launch and require confirmation.
